A publisher in London Colney.
Hot & Bothered Ltd is registered for other publishing activities (SIC 58190). Its registered office is at Victor House, Barnet Road, London Colney.
Publishing is mostly contracts and attention. The contract settles what is being granted - which rights, which territories, which formats, for how long, and what happens on reuse - and the attention is what stops a mistake becoming permanent. We try to be careful about both.
Contributors are credited as agreed and paid on the agreed terms. Moral rights, including the right to be identified as the author of a work, are dealt with in the agreement rather than assumed away quietly.
On accuracy: authors are responsible for the truth of what they write and for having permission to use anything that is not theirs, and we check what we reasonably can. When something is wrong, we correct it rather than leave it up and hope.
We do not invite unsolicited manuscripts and we are not responsible for material sent to us without a prior written agreement. We are also not a law firm, not a literary agency and not an employment agency: we do not represent authors, we do not find anybody work, and we do not charge a contributor a fee to be published or to be considered.
